Rift – 2.7 repoussée…finalement là !
Une mauvaise nouvelle est venue entachée l'enthousiasme des joueurs de Rift hier soir : la 2.7 ne sortira pas aujourd'hui et est repoussée à une date ultérieure encore inconnue. Du coup, il n'y aura pas de maintenance aujourd'hui.
Ocho a indiqué sur les forums par la suite qu'il y avait encore une petite chance que le patch soit déployé d'ici mercredi prochain mais rien de sûr encore. Bien que le souci ne soit pas lié aux nouvelles âmes, ils ne vont pas sortir le patch en "morceaux" et l'ensemble est repoussé.

If it's able to fixed before next Wednesday, will the patch be deployed early?
We haven't made any firm decisions yet (of course we can't, until all the issues are fully resolved). There is a possibility it could be released out of the normal Wednesday schedule however. Wednesdays are a good day to patch, but other days can work.
if it is not the souls causing the issue, it would be to great benefit to TRION to release the souls on schedule sans the bulk of the patch
Unfortunately things are never quite that easy. The souls have a huge number of associated changes, isolating them and getting a build and testing it would be problematic. Not a single day type affair.
However, am I the only one who thinks we were purposely teased and the souls were never meant to come out before 3.0 and that's when we will get them now? How can Trion NOT know there was a problem until less than a day before release? That seems a little suspicious to me.
You find an issue in testing, you put in a fix, you test again. Sometimes that fix doesn't work, and you implement another, and test again. Things look really good last week when we announced the 7th, but issues arose after. We've been working hard and thought we had an excellent chance of making the 7th, but even if your odds are 99% sometimes you hit that 1% chance. The souls will most certainly be released with 2.7, no worries at all on that score.
Edit 08/05 : dans la nuit, ils ont trouvé un correctif pour la 2.7 et ont lancé le déploiement vers 23h30. La 2.7 est sur les serveurs depuis environ 7h30 ce matin.
